International Book Fair in Jeddah
Under the
auspices of the Ministry Of Culture and Information of Saudi Arabia has
organized 3rd event of International Book Fair in Jeddah. The
Book fair has stalls from all over the world.
A very
well-organized event attended so far. A must place to visit by all age groups.
Reading is vanishing from current generation and such events are so helpful to
attract the kids specially. The stalls are so attractive, versatile and have
vast topics that everyone can find reading stuff of their own choice.
On the entrance
there is a special paid area for children where they can attend shows of
different cartoon characters and enjoy different activities too. Also there are
many toys stalls for toys shopping.
On the main
entrance, one can feel a huge, well organized, ventilated exhibition of book
stalls for each age group. Exhibition is covering most of the topics from
medical education, history, geography, architecture literature, fiction,
novels, stories, home décor, cooking, baking and much more for adults. Also not
only the books there are multiple activity toys for kids for better learning,
knowledge and understanding.
There are
multiple stalls and most of the books are in Arabic according for an Arab
country. But also there is vast collection of books in English so expats can
enjoy and fulfill from this event.
Quran printing
stall is much fascinating too and they are promoting and describing all the
details relating to it. There are many stalls on Islamic education and
awareness. One can find easily Quran tafseers and translation and Hadith books
by multiple ulamaa and authors.
Islamic
stories, activities, challenges and toys is a great attraction for parents to
buy for their children for better knowledge of Islam. Also many stalls have
mental activities or puzzle games for children so they can come out from
gadgets world and use their IQ in such activities.
Along with all these book stalls, there is outdoor arrangement of food stalls like al-baik, say and other cafés along sea side view. There is area for praying along with ablution area and toilets. Entrance and Exit is totally separate to avoid any hassle of crowd. A very calm and well managed place to visit with family and friends. Entrance is free for everyone. Huge parking slot is there, so no parking issues. Organizers are there for pedestrians for assistance to cross the road. There is a grassed park with swings and slides too nearby if children want to play for sometime.
Overall it’s a
fabulous event and a must to go place..!!
